A Scientist’s Showcase of Amazing Creatures That Defy Evolutionary Theory
Thursday May 15, 2025 10:30am - 11:20am CDT
The secular world tells us evolution is a fact. How do we answer? The topic of origins is important, because many students don’t feel equipped to give an answer, and many struggle with this topic. Amazingly, science is continually revealing features of our world that don’t fit with evolutionary theory. Moreover, there is increasing scientific support for a Designer! This fast-moving, high-energy workshop covers several organisms whose features defy evolution. From dolphins and sharks to glow-in-the-dark bacteria, we’ll see how science is discovering that all creatures are far from simple.

Having Confident Grace in Homeschooling
Thursday May 15, 2025 10:30am - 11:20am CDT
Confidence Grace may seem like conflicting concepts but they are, in fact, perfect partners. In homeschooling specifically there are four main areas of confidence that can create struggles, confidence in ourselves, choosing & using curriculum, teaching methods and in the students themselves. Where there is a lack of confidence it requires an extension of grace, but is there such a thing as too much grace? My desire is to encourage, inspire and teach how to build confidence graciously and how to confidently extend grace. This session will show how Confident Grace in homeschooling is a must.

That's Impossible!
Thursday May 15, 2025 10:30am - 11:20am CDT
The presence of instinct in animals provides some of the best evidence for original design in nature. All creatures have it, and the wide array of abilities is staggering! However, it doesn’t stop there. From instinct we move on to symbiotic relationships, particularly “mutualism”, which is nothing short of impossible from a naturalistic perspective. Spiritual blindness is the only answer to this dilemma that many otherwise reasonable people are caught in. However, even Christians can sometimes fall prey to compromises...

Am I Ruining My Children? Encouragement for Homeschoolers
Thursday May 15, 2025 3:00pm - 3:50pm CDT
At one time or another we all feel our homeschooled children are missing out on “something.” After all, we’re pretty sure our 7th grade neighbor is up for a Nobel Prize, everyone else is receiving a full-ride Princeton scholarship, and we haven’t even begun to cover 13th century Chinese humanities! RELAX. This workshop will encourage you that homeschooling is the BEST thing for your children. Join Sherri in a humorous and informative discussion as she shares how she went from stressing over teaching everything to trusting in the path, resources, and experiences God had for her children.

Faithful Not Frantic: Achieving Balance to Accomplish More with Less Stress
Thursday May 15, 2025 4:20pm - 5:10pm CDT
In our productivity-driven culture, busyness can easily consume our lives. We want to get it all done, look good doing it, and post the perfect picture! This is a recipe for overwhelm, especially when our ministry is the high-stakes work of educating and discipling the next generation. Fortunately, God's Word is just as relevant today as it has been for millennia! Scripture holds solutions to help us find balance and rest amidst the distinct pressures of modern life. We'll look to Jesus, His friends Martha and Mary, learn how neuropsychology affirms God's wisdom, and explore related ideas from the work of Dr. Kathy Koch. These truths provide practical tools to renew your mind and transform your family.

Thursday May 15, 2025 4:20pm - 5:10pm CDT

Welcome to life as a Christ follower. So, how do you live it out successfully? How do you relate to and interact with outsiders? How do you handle relationships with the LGBTQ people in your life? How do you stand strong in the faith despite opposition, rejection, and outright hatred?
