Saturday May 17, 2025 11:00am - 11:50am CDT
Explore the profound impact of gratitude on learning outcomes in this enlightening workshop. Can Thanksgiving enhance your student’s academic performance or deepen their understanding of spiritual teachings? Many educators and mentors often attribute comprehension solely to the student’s intelligence or the teaching method’s efficacy. However, recent scientific research and timeless wisdom from the Bible suggest that the readiness of the heart and mind before receiving instruction is paramount in knowledge acquisition. Is the soil of your student’s inner landscape primed to absorb what you impart? Discover how planting the seed of knowledge in the heart of gratitude fosters a fertile ground for growth and leads to bountiful harvests of learning. Join us as we delve into practical strategies for incorporating gratitude into education and spiritual mentoring, empowering you to cultivate a thriving environment for knowledge dissemination and absorption.

Parental Inferiority Complex—When Our Kids Go Astray
Saturday May 17, 2025 11:00am - 11:50am CDT
We have a little wooden block at home that read, "As far as anybody knows, we are a nice, normal family." Yeah, right. Our family history is kinda messy despite homeschooling all four of our kids. We thought we mostly did the right things, and we certainly tried as hard as we could, but all four of our kids have made some BAD choices. How much of that should we "own" as parents? Are we to blame for their poor choices? And if we are, can we also take credit for their good ones? Where is God in all of that? This is an open and honest workshop in a homeschool world that sometimes isn't.

An Unbeatable Homeschool Team
Saturday May 17, 2025 1:30pm - 2:20pm CDT
Marriage is hard…in fact, it’s real hard! Yet when it is right and good, it can withstand anything. It doesn’t matter what the economy does, the status of your bank account, the condition of your home or vehicles, or what your children dish out…because when a husband and wife are right, they’re unbeatable.

On the flip side, when a husband and wife feel distant or apathetic, it only takes the slightest breeze to ruffle a bunch of feathers. The truth is a mediocre marriage sucks the joy right out of life and your homeschool. The economy can swing up, your checking account can be healthy, your home and vehicles can purr like kittens, and the kids can behave like angels, and life still…stinks.

That’s because marriage matters.

Join Todd Wilson, The Familyman, for a time of laughter and encouragement as he shares real life stories, problems, and frustrations along with practical, simple solutions to having a marriage that can‘t be beat!

Saturday May 17, 2025 1:30pm - 2:20pm CDT
Do you hope your child approaches dating a little bit differently than you did? Maybe a LOT of bit differently? Or maybe you struggle to adapt what worked for you to the current cultural landscape. Then let's address the 6 Dating Questions (Everyone Should Answer Before They Ever Date).

In this workshop for parents (and their teens) we’ll address the who, what, where, when, why, and how of healthy dating, sharing practical, biblical realities we all wish we had considered sooner! And we’ll cover these topics in such a way to empower parents to pursue consensus that encourages connection with their teen instead of laying down limits that create conflict.

All principles come from the book, Date Like You Know What You're Doing: Your DatePrep Guide, available in audio, e-book, paperback, and accompanied by a video curriculum.

Saturday May 17, 2025 1:30pm - 2:20pm CDT
We know that God is incredibly innovative and diverse as expressed in His creation of every living creature. It’s astounding! Beauty, purpose and order are abundantly evident. However, so is the curse! Romans 8:22 claims that the creation is groaning because of sin and the curse. What was once totally beautiful is now stained with odd, bizarre, and uncanny expressions. Some things are ugly indeed, but even in this, there is amazing design! What appears to us as horrible still cannot happen if instinct and purpose are not built in! Politics…Nasty but Necessary
Saturday May 17, 2025 3:00pm - 3:50pm CDT
I’ve been teaching civics to homeschoolers since 2012 and was a Christian talk radio show host for 16 years…and a political activist to boot. Most of my students take the class became mom and dad make them…but by the time it’s over, they understand why civics is such an important topic. If you think politics and government is just for older people, or not relevant to you as a teenager, then YOU are part of the problem. Ignorance is killing America as much as the Spirit of the Age. Don’t be part of the problem. Don’t be a fool. Wake up to the reality that your future is being shaped and impacted—to a large extent— by government, and you need to understand why it’s happening and what you can do as a Christian to push back.

In a world focused on temporal achievements, how do we raise children who live with an eternal mindset? This transformative workshop equips Christian parents to nurture children who see beyond immediate circumstances and understand their kingdom purpose. You'll learn how to cultivate spiritual disciplines, foster a biblical worldview, and inspire children to live purposefully for God's eternal kingdom. Through gospel-centered resources you'll discover how to prepare your children not just for academic success, but for a life of meaningful spiritual impact.

Not What I Had Planned
Saturday May 17, 2025 4:20pm - 5:10pm CDT
As homeschool parents we spend a lot of time and energy making plans for our students, our days, our homes—our lives! And that’s good. But what do you do when your plans are interrupted? In April 2024 Sonya was diagnosed with breast cancer, and life suddenly didn’t look anything like she had planned. As she floundered through the next several months, God graciously met her where she was and reassured her that this unexpected bend in the road was not a surprise to Him. In fact, He had planned this part of her story all along. In this session she will share spiritual truth and practical ideas for when you walk through uncertain times and are challenged to let go of your plans and trust God’s plans.

Stop the POPP: Help Perfectionistic, Overachieving People-Pleasers Become Resilient Kids
Saturday May 17, 2025 4:20pm - 5:10pm CDT
If your child shows signs of perfectionism, relentless overachieving, or excessive authority- pleasing, the time to address these habits is NOW. It's not too early, and it's never too late! We'll examine how your words, actions, and family dynamics may unintentionally fuel your children's POPP tendencies; learning to help them break through rigidity and fragility now has lifelong benefits. Parents must provide healthy boundaries so kids can take “safe” risks and learn to handle disappointment and frustration. Children become resilient by learning from mistakes instead of fearing them! Celebrate Kids’ colleague Lauren Roman conveys invaluable life lessons from her own journey as a "recovering perfectionist," as well as key concepts from Dr. Kathy Koch's popular book Resilient Kids.

They've Graduated...Now What Do I Do?
Saturday May 17, 2025 4:20pm - 5:10pm CDT
The last bite of graduation cake has been eaten and the trash has been thrown away. Now what? What is a parent’s role post-graduation? Can they still make rules, have a say, voice their opinion, or do they have to remain silent? Join Todd as he shares his observations and experiences, and what the Bible says about parenting adult children…who do dumb things. He’ll share what to do when the relationship has been broken and when your child chooses not to homeschool, follow God, or thumbs his/her nose in your face and at your beliefs. A parent’s role and involvement may change…but their influence increases.
